Travel guide of Metropolitan City of FlorenceThe typical Italian Gothic building, the Cathedral of Florence, is dedicated to “Santa Maria del Fiore”. The church was designed by Arnolfo di Cambio (c1245-1302) who considerably enlarged the existing religious structure. Finished around 1367, the Cathedral was completely covered by coloured marbles like the earlier Baptistery, except for the façade that remained unfinished and was terminated only in the 19th century. - www.museumsinflorence.com

This picture was taken from the gardens in the heights of Florence. This is probably one of the most peaceful place I know right in the middle of a city : this view is just amazing 😎

On a trip to Florence, had a chance to capture this from the top of the Duomo, overlooking the city. The trip up the stairs to the top is not a simple one but the view is well worth it.

The cathedral includes the famous Il Duomo, the world’s largest freestanding dome without a supporting wooden frame. Started in 1420 and completed in 1436, it was created by the architect Filippo Brunelleschi.

During a roadtrip, we stopped to enjoy the beautiful view of the hills in Tuscany. I took several shots of the landscape, and I thought that the pure nature photos would be the best ones. But it turned out that this small, powerful, and loud Italian car is the one thing that makes this picture pop, because it gives contrast to the calm scenario.

During the summer it can be difficult to escape the swarms of tourists that visit the famous seaside towns of Cinque Terre. In order to capture this beautiful photo of Riomaggiore I had to climb to the end of the rock jetty that protects boats in the harbor.

During heat wave this summer my family and I went to Italy. I took colorful photos of landscape, streets, foods & wildlife in Tuscany, Manarola-Cinque Terre & Rome. I came across this woman brave enough to jump into the blue waters of the sea from a cliff. I was lucky to catch the woman in flight. The shot was also in ‘rule-of-thirds’

Shot from a cliff in Cinque Terre, Italy while trying to get closer to some cacti. I just wanted to take that feeling back home with me and since I cand take the sea into a jar a photo had to do.

Hiked to the top of a nearby hill just to get this shot. It was so beautiful we stayed for hours after the sunset, just watching the lights bring out the nightlife.

I was at the top of Mount Subasio, a big mountain in Umbria famous for a little, holy city: Assisi. I was with my friend enjoying the sunset when suddenly 3 horses passed by me and runned away.

I tried to create a “levitation” effect. I put together the different colours of the clothes of my friend with the monotone colour of the sky.

Padova has multiple markets, every single day in the main two squares - Piazza delle Erbe and Piazza della Frutta - you can always find fresh fruits and vegetables. Even if this picture it was taken in the early begging of the summer - and there was 31° C - people are still going out to buy fresh food. Do not loose (old) habits :D

A long ride in a summer night to meet the famous flower filelds of Castelluccio di Norcia. Castelluccio di Norcia is a small town on the top of a hill in Umbria, the heart as well as one o the most beautiful region of Italy. Life off screen: I’m not a professional photographer, I work as Software Engineer and a screen is in front of me all day long. Photography is a passion, something I’d like to make my full time job, but for now it’s something that relax me and give me a lot of energy. I take my photos during my travels or after work, when I take my bike and I go to the hills, surrounded by nature…in peace.

Midnight. We were on the way back from Piazza San Marco. As we zig zagged through the endless maze of bridges that is Venice, I looked across and everything lined up. The moon was aligned right at the centre of the canal. Just as I pressed the shutter, a speedboat buzzed down the lane. I hesitated for a moment before pushing down on the button.
